To clean up cooking oil spills in the kitchen, cover the area with an absorbent material, such as salt, kitty litter, corn starch, sand, or oatmeal. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, then use paper towels or a spatula to scoop up the mess, and wipe up any leftover residue.

Absorb the Oil Stain
