What challenges does katniss overcome in the hunger games?

Katniss faced one of greatest challenges before the reaping of the games. She was challenged with protecting and caring for her family. Katniss had to regularly get food for her family to survive through starvation. Another challenge Katniss faces is her relationship with Peeta.

• Destroying the Careers food supply.
• Rue’s death.
• Finding Peeta.
• Obtaining Peeta’s medicine.
• Escaping mutts.

The first challenge, when Katniss had to provide for her family, was grueling because she was only twelve when her father died, when her mother was paralyzed with depression, and when she took over the role of providing for her family.

Katniss has a few major weaknesses, all of which contribute to making her a realistic, well-rounded character. She can’t deal with injuries; they make her feel sick. She can be very rash, making snap decisions that don’t always work out for her and her allies.

On a pure plot level, the ending to the movie is quite faithful to the book. After Coin suggests doing another Hunger Games with the children of the Capitol, Katniss kills her instead of Snow, is locked up by the rebels, sent to exile back in 12 where she rehabilitates and eventually Marries Peeta And has children.

Katniss’s poverty proves both useful and debilitating to her. Because of her lack of privilege, she has been forced to learn several skills that prove useful in the arena.

Her body continues to weaken and fail from dehydration. She thinks of Haymitch and her sponsors and asks for water. Nothing comes. She believes that Haymitch hates her and is punishing her, but then she decides he wouldn’t do that.

Katniss is definitely afraid of Something happening to her family, especially her little sis, but when it comes to her own safety, she can be fearless. Of course, she’s worried about dying in the Games, but it doesn’t keep her from getting in the face of just about every authority figure she meets.

Thresh Is reaped into the 74th Hunger Games, along with the female tribute from his district, Rue. Since Thresh is the physically strongest tribute in the Games, the Careers attempt to recruit him for their alliance, but he refuses.

Resolution: Katniss and Peeta are restored to health. Katniss continues to battle with her feelings over Peeta vs Gale. She decides to embrace the illusion of love that she’s developed when she learns from Haymitch that the capitol is angry with what they did with the berries.
