What is apple k12?

In 1995, Apple created the Apple Distinguished Educators (ADE) program to recognize K–12 and higher-education pioneers who are using Apple technology to transform teaching and learning. These are the educators who are looking to change the world.

Eligibility. Those eligible to purchase from the Apple Store for Education Individuals include Faculty, staff, students and parents As follows: K12 – Any employee of a public or private K-12 institution in the United States is eligible, including homeschool teachers.

Apple’s US Education Store Now Requires Institution Verification to Buy Discounted Products. Apple is now requiring that customers in the United States verify that they’re active students, teachers, or staff members at an educational institution in order to access education discounts on products.

Becoming an Apple Distinguished School.

The invitation process begins with an application request from school leadership. Apple reviews all requests to ensure that schools meet the current programme qualifications. Qualified schools then receive an invitation to complete the application process.
