What is the theme of hugo the lords nephew?

For homework last week the students read “Hugo, the Lord’s Nephew”. We reviewed the worksheet questions they answered at home and looked at the use of figurative language. We identified two main themes: fear of hunting the boar, and the challenge of a boy becoming a man.

An Innovative Reference to Early 3D Movies

Like Méliès, Scorsese pushed his film to the limits of creativity and innovation. Hugo was filmed entirely in 3D, with no rendering done later in studio. At the time of its release, Hugo was heralded as the future of 3D innovation and the best use of 3D technology to date.

Dark Centric Theme technology means that The majority of the film will have a dark tone. The visuals will have a dark theme for most parts and consequently, the majority of the sequences will have a black-ish shade. This visual effect will further elevate the action blocks in the film.

More Than Just a Sidekick

The best way to describe Isabelle is that she’s kind of like the Robin to Hugo’s Batman, except she’s a lot more of a handful. She wants to help Hugo, and she wants to go on adventures with him, but she’s not going to let him make all the rules: “You better not look inside.”
